How to choose a mental health marketing agency

Hiring a marketing partner in behavioral health is a clinical-adjacent decision. The wrong agency will not just waste budget. They will teach the market the wrong story about your care.

Start with category proof, not vibes

Ask for work that shows they understand:

  • Levels of care and why messaging differs across them
  • Referent relationships versus consumer funnels
  • Compliance review as a production step, not an afterthought
  • What they refuse to do even when it would convert

If every case study could belong to a dental chain, keep looking.

Questions that expose the model

1. How do you define a qualified inquiry in this category? 2. Who reviews claims before launch, and what is their clinical background? 3. Which channels will you *not* recommend for us, and why? 4. How do you handle lead sources that obscure acquisition method? 5. What does reporting look like beyond CPL and ROAS? 6. How do brand, site, and paid media stay one system?

Red flags

  • Guaranteed admission volume
  • Willingness to run unverifiable outcome claims
  • No interest in speaking with clinical leadership
  • A strategy that is only paid media
  • Creative that romanticizes crisis or stigmatizes patients

What good looks like

A strong partner can explain how brand, website, content, paid, and referent systems reinforce each other. They can show restraint. They can write a sentence a clinical director will approve without sanding off all meaning.

How we engage

Karle Kreatives typically starts with a Brand & Growth Diagnostic or a focused Growth Sprint, then expands into a brand/campaign system when the priority is clear. Technical builds land with Solvhaus when engineering depth is required.
